On April 23, 2023 at 18:30 (local time in France), in Le Grand Rex, the 7th GTIDFF ushered in the closing ceremony.

At Le Grand Rex, room Rex 4, the closing ceremony began with the Golden Tree Festival theme video. The theme video shows the history of the GTIDFF, the forum activities and the theme of the festival -- “Root of Culture: Facing Nature”.

At 18:35, the 7th GTIDFF award ceremony began. Mr. Vincent Lowy, president of the Final jury members, delivered a speech.

The Last Hope by Indian director Raja Shabir Mohammad Khan won two awards, “Golden Tree Awards” and the “Best Director Award”, in a total of seven categories.

The five jury members and Mr. Hannes Karnick presented the awards and the presentation speech in turn.

The film teams of the seven winning films accepted the awards and gave speeches. Guo Yuehan, the director of What Life Holds, which won the Best Completion of GFP Award, said she was very grateful for the platform and opportunity provided by Golden Tree Festival and her mentor Guo Jinfeng’s support. She hopes the documentary can reach more audiences and make more people pay attention to Myanmar girls who marry far away in China and give each other love and care.

Guests and jury members took a group photo, and the closing ceremony ended successfully.
