The range of possibilities of artificial intelligence tool applied to the audiovisual industry and cinematographic creation
This conference, is aimed at all film and technology enthusiasts. Plunge into the heart of the future of cinema, the cinematographic revolution of the 21st century, where the creation of new films will be driven by artificial intelligence.
Since the advent of artificial intelligence, scientists have been relentlessly exploring the possibilities of creating artistic products of human quality: poetry, stories, music, paintings and much more. This ability to generate art seems crucial to demonstrating the true intelligence of AI algorithms. But these innovative systems are very diverse and today offer unprecedented prospects in the world of audiovisual and film creation and production. Since 2016, with the emergence of new algorithms (GAN), these advances have revolutionised every aspect of audiovisual production, from writing to translation to post-production.
Inspired by these dazzling advances, a new avant-garde competition dedicated to short films made using AI tools is being launched at the Courant3D festival in Angoulême in 2018. We invite you to take a look back over the five years of the competition (from 2018 to 2023), and examine the main cinematographic innovations driven by artificial intelligence.
