The Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival takes place every fall in Frankfurt, Germany.
The Festival´s aim is to bring together the world's attention on documentaries and spread quality films worldwide, explore the source of culture of different civilizations and countries all over the world using camera lenses and promote mutual exchanges and learning.
The Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival， believing“Countries have borders, but culture knows no limits,” documentary films serve as an important medium for cultural exchange between different nations, invites all young filmmakers of the documentary film industry to participate – there are no borders. The Golden Tree espouses the view that documentary film directors and producers utilize their own perspectives in making the projects. Individual creativity should be paramount. The festival aims at providing artists from around the world with a platform for equal exchange as well as mutual profit and development.

Joint Meeting Hall, through Pitch Announcement, Investment requirement, co-production demand, purchasing demand, film promotion and other activities, helps provide documentary filmmakers with substantive opportunities for cooperation, to achieve co-production, investment and financing, proxy agent distribution and other objectives.
The 4th Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival will set up “Exhibition Area from Five Continents”, with a special “China Pavilion” section. This will be the highlight of the 4th edition: the area will serve as a platform for the global documentary industry to have equal communication and mutual development. Exhibiting institutes will have direct face-to-face discussions with documentary industry professionals, including Chinese institutes and industry professionals, so as to learn more about and enter the emerging Chinese documentary film market.
Exhibiting institutes or individuals may choose the following 1 or more activities and the Committee will customize a package that best suits the objectives.
1. Joint Meeting Hall Exclusive Announcement
Exhibiting institutions or individuals will have an exclusive Joint Meeting Hall Announcement. The Festival, through announcements, help provide documentary filmmakers with substantive opportunities for cooperation to achieve co-production, investment and financing, proxy agent distribution and other objectives.
• Pitch Announcement, announcer can state their pitch project on site about the idea, status, filming schedule and requests such as investment, pre-sale and broadcasting.
• Investment, investors state types of projects they intend to invest on site.
• Co-productions production companies or producers announce co-production requirements
• Acquisition, purchasers state their intended purchase of documentaries.
• Film promotion, distribution companies, production team or copy rights owners promote and release projects on site

4. Standard Exhibition Booth

5. All Pass
All pass covers, besides all activities, daily lunch and “one on one meetings”. The Organizing Committee will coordinate delegates with international professional documentary organizations, investment institutions, filmmakers and other concerned parties to have “one on one meetings”to provide private communication space and maximize cooperation efficiency.
